Sri Krishna Janmashtami – Registration
With hearts brimming with joy and devotion, we warmly invite you and your loved ones to be part of a truly sacred celebration — the divine appearance day of Lord Sri Krishna, the eternal well-wisher of all living beings.
On this most auspicious evening, let us unite as a community — not just to celebrate a festival, but to welcome the Supreme Lord who descended out of boundless compassion, to guide us, uplift us, and reclaim our hearts with His unconditional love.
“One who understands the transcendental nature of My appearance and activities does not, upon leaving the body, take birth again in this material world but attains My eternal abode.”
— Bhagavad-Gītā 4.9
The evening will be filled with devotion and joy, beginning with the Maha Abhishekam of Sri Sri Radha Krishna, a rare and sacred opportunity to witness Their divine bathing ceremony. The celebration will come alive with colorful fancy dress competition for children (details below), soul-stirring kirtans that awaken the heart, and captivating dance and drama performances that vividly portray Krishna’s timeless pastimes. Nourishing spiritual talk will uplift and enlighten, while vibrant cultural stalls and joyful face painting will delight both children and adults alike. The celebration will conclude with a lovingly prepared Krishna prasadam dinner, offering a feast that nourishes both body and soul.
With a heartfelt donation of $350, you and your family can personally offer Maha Abhishekam to Sri Sri Radha Krishna on this divine evening. All offerings go towards building the new ISKCON Wellington Temple – a home for Sri Krishna, and a spiritual sanctuary for our community. This resonates with Lord Krishna’s words in the Srimad Bhagavatam:
“One who offers the Deity gifts of land, markets, cities, and villages so that the regular daily worship and special festivals of the Deity may go on continually will achieve opulence equal to My own.”
— Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 11.27.51
